As part of the Photography Cycle, which is taking place in the AXA Building, the Porto City Council, through Porto Lazer, marked, on August 19, World Photography Day with the opening of an exhibition, right in Avenida dos Aliados , which was open to the public until the end of this month. The exhibition results from an invitation to the population of the city to send images about Porto. In just two weeks, around 1,000 images were received, and it was up to a jury to select the 100 best photos, which were then integrated by the structure reused PVC tubes. The wide and free open space reapropriation, no longer confined to the idea of closed, but still trying to occupy and being occupied, block and give way, show and hide. It seeks the symbiosis between the sculptural object and the image.
